I really do enjoy questions such as these. You may want to get comfortable, because I do have a tendency to write an abundance.
FooPets Life ❄
❝I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.❞
I’m a rare item hoarder. I spend a lot of time trying to get rare items/soon to be sold out items from the mart. If I see one, I leap at the chance for them and buy maybe five or more and do a little trading. I usually keep the majority of items for pet trades. At times, I will trade off some. I’d say I’m quite good at obtaining rares. I’ve found a Black Grand Piano once and another a few weeks later.
I usually tend to stay in the Breeding, Chit – Chat and Trading forums. Sometimes I’ll go see what’s going on in the contest forum and participate in some, but other than that I’m more of a Chit – Chat/Breeding/Trading person. I mainly go in Trading for items[bidding and selling] and to get graphics. Breeding, I do all sorts of things. Mostly offer on pets, enter rehomings and looking for pets. In Chit – Chat I find myself acting obscure. As you may see, I enjoy writing and I sometimes take part in sharing my work in the forums.
As an extension to those two paragraphs, my Foo Routine ties into those activities. In the mornings I start school at 9:00am and finish my day at 4:00pm. Before that, I get up extremely early, do my morning routine, read and then go on the computer. First I log on, go to the mart and see what’s new. Then I go to my profile and care for my pets through mobile. After that, I lurk the forums before needing to go to school. I get on after school, which is about 4:00pm. I have a tendency to stay on through all hours of the night, making sure that I complete my home learning. I vote on scenes, care for my pets and lurk the forums and strike up conversations with people.
Currently, I’m retired from breeding. I tend to hoard my litter licenses to and put them towards FDs. On this account, I have bred five times. I gained two NFCs from one, two GSDs from another, three Bombays from another and one more GSD plus a Red Husky from another litter. My last litter was in early April of 2014, which consisted of two male Golden Retrievers. I have no plans of breeding anytime soon.
Real Life ❄
❝Wit beyond measure is man's greets treasure.❞
You may know me as Dreaming, but off the screen I’m know as Elizabeth. Currently I’m in my early teenage years. My birthday rolls around on every July 10th. I have three sisters, four including myself. I along with my two middle sisters were born in California, where we spend our summers and vacation time. As of now, I live in a land lock state where the climate is always changing. I’m a very studious girl who pries herself upon her knowledge and academic achievement. I attend an international
baccalaureate school. Due to my high standards I set for myself, I do well in school, achieving nothing lower than a four. Upon growing up as most people have the goal of, I to hope to make it big in the singing career. While I’d also enjoy with equal enthusiasm the job of a lawyer, archeologist, teacher, tutor or writer.
I can relate to the quote above quite well. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve always been one to pry myself upon my knowledge and academic achievement. I’m that one friend who constantly corrects others on their grammar and everybody asks for help from. Considering I go to an IB school, we have a grading system that goes from an zero to an eight, only reaching seven on report cards. Past that, you can usually find me always reading or inside. While I have no favorite subject in particular, I do enjoy History immensely. The though of re-learning our heritage and how we came to be fascinates and excites me.
I have four dearly beloved pets. Sadly, a year ago to this very day [February 15th], Kona slipped through the gate and did not return. You will read about them in the following paragraphs. I also had a past dog named Tuffy [Carin Terrier] and I do miss him very much. I’ve also had many past cats. Lets just say, I do not live in the ideal place.
Kennedy’Claire, is my female German Shepherd – Yellow Lab mix. It was an incredibly stormy day when we found her. Around July 19th, it had been raining an incredible amount. The rain was thick enough so that we were unable to see the mountains. One day, my Dad saw a dog running through the rain. He coaxed her over to the porch and we put out food and water. After some discussion, he finally caved in to letting me have her. All in all, Kennedy is such a sweet girl. She’s very laid back and lazy, which is quite surprising. I love her and I would never trade her for the world.
Lilly, is my female Siberian Husky. September of the same year we had brought Kennedy home, we took home Lilly. Originally it had ben my sister’s want of a Siberian Husky. My Mom considered the idea of having a Siberian Husky and now here she is. We got Lilly from a breeder who had her for a year, as my Mother was not willing to get a puppy. Lilly is a very energetic dog. The song Holy Grail describes her well. One minute she loves you, the next you’ve upset her. While my sister wanted a puppy, we couldn’t be happier to have Lilly.
Oliver, is my male Shiba Inu. We had gotten him from a friend of ours in California who could no longer keep him. It was Thanksgiving when we got him. As Shiba Inus are known for their escapee personality trait, it just so happened that he got out and we had to chase after him. Oliver is a very proud dog, taking pride in being the only male of the house. While he can be a bit stubborn at times, I’m very glad that we were able to take him home with us.
Dotty, is my female Tuxedo Cat. When I was around the age of nine, we had got her. My Mother’s friend brought her over to our house. Originally she came from a quitting principal from their school who was going through a divorce and no longer wanted to keep her husband’s cats. That’s the main gist of how we ended up with her. My sister choose out her name. It was that or her old name, Miss Kitty. When we first got her, she was really feisty. I couldn’t even pick her up without getting a scratch or a nip. She’s warmed up to us now. I really love her and would never be able to give her up.
While I do enjoy the indoors and a good book, I do have an interest for sports. I enjoy sports like; basketball, swimming, surfing, volleyball, tennis and soccer. From the ages of seven up until ten or so, I took private tennis lessons. I had really enjoyed them and I kept up my game continuing on into the years, until my tennis instructor went off to college. I play tennis, but not as often as I used to. Basketball and soccer are more school related sports for me. I play soccer or basketball in my free time during P.E. In past summers I would play soccer in teams. I still do play during the summer, but not on a team anymore. Surfing, swimming and volleyball are all sports I take up during my summers in California.
You could also say that I’m very musically talented. During fifth grade, we had a choice to take up an elective for a month. Our options were choir, band and orchestra. While I do enjoy choir, I sing at my church and had no interest in taking a class with a teacher with his personality. The same could be said for band. While we were trying out band for a month, I had taken up the flute and drums, but had never really enjoyed his class. I chose the orchestra teacher, which is when I took up the violin. I’ve been playing the violin for three years now and I’m ranked with the other top violinists in my orchestra. When I was younger I used to take piano lessons. Currently I don’t, but I’m still able to play the piano very well and practice daily.
Do You Own Any LPHs or Rares ❄
❝Happiness can be found in the darkness of night, if one only remembers to turn on a light.❞
I consider all my pets to be rare, special and unique in their own ways. By Foo’s standards, I own quite a few pets people would classify as rare. I own two LPHs, one ex-MLPH, one Balloon Head, one LS Russian Blue and one LS Long Haired Silver Tabby. While some of the adoption dates may not correct, I’ll be sure to mention their original.
Demetra, is my Female Legacy Pokey Husky. She was my first ever Legacy Pokey Husky. While her adoption date says March 12, 2012, I actually adopted her December 12, 2011. She had gone on visits, which is why her adoption date is that such.
Bowden, is my Male Legacy Pokey Husky, who is named after my Father.
Jack Frost J.H, is my Male Ex-Legacy Pokey Husky, which I adopted from a friend who left.
Harvey’Wai, is my male LS Russian Blue.
Diana, is my female LS Long Haired Silver Tabby, who is named after my great-aunt.
Why Do You Want Neville? ❄
❝Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we suspect.❞
Honestly, there are quite a few reasons why I want Neville. For one is his personality itself and the character he represents, my love of the breed and for my grandfather.
As you may or may now know, I really enjoy the Harry Potter series. In fact, it’s one of my favorite series of all time. While I always have loved the main characters, I’ve always adored Neville. Most people pass over him when talking about Harry Potter, but I find it hard to do so. At such a young age, he’s already been through so much, adding on to his personality and adapting more traits to shape him. I’ve never been able to relate to Neville on a large level, but we share the same motivation of achieving goals others and ourselves have set for us and the loyalty to our friends and family. Neville just seems to fit his personality into the character from hence he was named. In the question about Harry Potter is where I expand onto this topic more.
I mentioned that I have a love for the Husky breed. While all dogs have loyalty embedded deep within them, each has different traits that separate them. Huskies are fiercely loyal, brave and devoted. You could almost classify them into Gryffindor, which makes Neville all the more fitted for the representation of the character. Upon seeing Neville, I got a sense that he was a loyal, brave and devoted dog, just like the character. My love of the breed has grown since we welcomed Lilly home. In all, I view the breed as fierce, loyal, brave and hardworking.
As I mentioned, I would like to bring home Neville for my grandfather. When I went to Neville’s page, I noticed that he was born upon June 30th. While I was slightly disappointed at the longing for him to be born on July 30th, I was extremely happy to find out that he was born on my grandfather’s birthday. For a while now, I’ve been searching for a pet to represent my grandfather on my Mother’s side of the family. Every summer in California, we always see him at least once and spend the day with him. Usually we are go to the La Brea Tar pits and then for pizza, or we go to the space museum. Wherever we go, I always enjoy my time with him and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Also along the lines of Gryffindor, my grandfather is fiercely loyal, kind and devoted. I would like Neville to represent my grandfather.
Favorite Movie // TV Show // Book? ❄
❝The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure.❞
While I have many book favorites to choose from, along with movies and tv shows, I can not simply choose one. I will list a few of my favorite series, movies and shows down below.
❝He must have known I'd want to leave you.❞
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m the type of person to sit down with a good book and read for the entire day if you’d let me. I adore going to libraries and just simply sit and read the day away. Were I can not simply choose one book to talk about, I have selected a few to discuss.
The Hunger Game trilogy, is by all means a favorite series of mine. It takes place in the future and tells a story of how a rebellion took place and brought down North America. Instead of states, the replacement is twelve districts. Panem is the capital that run the districts. To insure that another rebellion would not happen, a game was set in action. Yearly, a gathering is held in each district children are reaped and go into the games to kill each other, fighting for the will to live. Each Quarter Quell [25 years] a new addition is added on, chosen specially for that year. During the reaping of the 74th annual Hunger Games, a girl by the name ‘Primrose Everdeen’ is reaped. Her sister Katniss is shocked and quickly volunteers in Prim’s place. Thus, our journey begins. The trilogy is by Suzanne Collins and is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I highly recommend it and I would advise you to read it, if you have not already.
The Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus are also two of my favorite series. In a world were demigods exist, the children of the gods are brought to a camp. At Camp Half-Blood, they train and learn how to fight and to expand upon their godly powers, inherited from their godly parent. Being a child of the big three is never easy, especially for Percy Jackson. Always having to change schools and constantly putting yourself in the clasp of danger. Bringing Greek mythology back into our modern world, Rick Riordan captures the humor and suspense of every moment and makes you long for more. I was unable to put these books down and I would highly recommend reading them.
The Time Snatchers, is a fantastic book by Richard Ungar. In the year 2061, China and the United States of America have formed a strong bond agreement. In returns for Begin becoming ‘The Big Apple’, New York is now know as ‘New Beijing’. A group of orphans have been taken under the hospitality of the man known as ‘Uncle’. Caleb has been raised in a world were his only goal is stealing. Traveling back in time to snatch important objects from the past and replace them with a replica – without altering the past -, so that ‘Uncle’ can sell it for profit. Thoughts of family that were once there are no longer, due to the fierce competition of completing snatches and returning with punishment for failure to complete a mission having driven them all apart. During one mission Caleb saves a child from falling and ends up in greater danger than he may know. This book is fantastic and I would highly recommend it.
The Harry Potter series is also a huge favorite of mine. Living in a world full of witches and wizards is ever easy, especially when you are one. At a young age, Harry’s parents were killed by the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort. Upon this, at the age of eleven he discovers that he’s a wizard and had been growing up with Muggles. While eleven, he begins to attend the school ‘Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’. There, he attends the school with his two friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. At Hogwarts, he discover that there’s a prophecy about him, foretelling that he’ll defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort. All in all, this is an amazing series which I highly recommend.
The Kane Chronicles is another one of Rick Riordan’s astounding series. Continuing on with the theme of mythology, Egyptian mythology is brought to life and modernized. The story takes place during the ‘Demon Days’ of the year [December 26th – December 31st]. Carter along with his father Julius Kane, travel to London to visit Carter’s sister Sadie. After their mother died in an accident, Julius got custom over Carter and Sadie went to their grandparents. While visiting, their father takes them to the British Museum in order to “study” the Rosetta Stone. Their father was begging to summon Osiris. Instead, their father released Osiris, Isis, Horus and Set. Afterwords, their father had vanished. Unknown to them, Isis and Horus used Carter and Sadie’s bodies as hosts. Using their new godly powers, can they stop Set before the Demon Days are done? I really enjoyed this series and I strongly recommend it.
❝No, he must have known you would always want to come back.❞
As I currently can not choose a favorite movie, I’ll be talking about Mockingjay Part One, Night of the Museum III ; Secret of the Tomb.
During November, on my Father’s birthday and the opening day, I went to go see Mockingjay Part One. Adding on to The Hunger Games portion of the books I like, the third book is Mockingjay. The book is extremely detailed, which is why it was broken down into two movies. In this movie, we see Katniss in the ruins of her home in what used to be District 12. Upon discovering that District 13 still exists, the survivors of the two districts reside there. While Peeta and Johanna were picked up in the arena by the Capital, Katniss was picked up in a district thirteen hovercraft. In the heat of the moment, Katniss is asked to make a video for the rebellion. Agreeing, they finally were able to shoot a good video in District 11, at the remains of a bombed hospital. President Snow saw the video and sent out a message warning to Katniss and District 13, using Peeta. In the end, Peeta ends up in District 13, but is being used as the Capital’s weapon. I strongly love this movie and I’ve memorized the song, ‘The Hanging Tree’ to the point were I can sing it and play it on the piano. I really recommend watching this movie, but after the first two and reading the books.
In Night of the Museum III ; Secret of the Tomb, Larry Daley discovers that the tablet used to bring the museum and all the attractions at night to life, is slowly decaying. Along with Ahkmenrah, Larry travels to the British Museum in order to obtain the help of Ahkmenrah’s parents in stopping the decaying of the tablet. Along the way, he encounters some troubles and finds himself battling with Sir Lancelot over the tablet in order to save his museum friends. This is an amazing movie, but again, I recommend watching the first two movies.
TV Shows ❄
❝I'm going to keep going until I succeed — or die.❞
While I also have multiple favorite TV shows, I’m going to discuss about a few that I consider to be outstanding.
Psych, is a show about a psychic detective. Thanks to Shawn Spencer’s father, Henry Spencer who was a former police officer, Shawn possesses superb observation skills. Accused of a crime Shawn helped solve, along with the help of his friend Gus, Shawn convinces everyone that he’s psychic. Along the way, Shawn continue to solve crimes for a skeptical police for using his uncanny methods. I highly recommend this series is you’re into comedy.
The Good Wife, is a show about a lawyer and her struggles. Upon taking an absentee leave of thirteen years to care for her children, Alicia Florrick has to take responsibility due a public scandal about her husband, Peter. She returns to law and bears with the humiliation and betrayal. Years later, she leaves to start her own firm. When Peter wins the gubernatorial election, Alicia has to be on top of her game as of now more than ever. With the pressure of running her own campaign and law firm, everything is going downhill. I recommend this show if you like legal dramas.
The West Wing, is a show about the president and the day to day life, struggles and situation over comings. Being one of the president’s advisers, you already have enough on your plate. Keeping your personal life unknown does not exists in this world and somehow it ends up jumbled in with your work. Running the government is hard enough, but the task only proceeds to become increasingly difficult due to the president’s illness. He and his staff struggle with balancing the needs of the country during two terms of election and running campaigns. I recommend this show if you enjoy political drama.
Best Experience On Foo ❄
❝After all this time?❞
Overall, I’ve had many wonderful experiences on FooPets that I’d never trade for in a million years. Two of them are the opportunity of brining Demetra home and meeting all my wonderful, outstanding friends.
It was December 11, 2011 when I was in the forums. I had been searching for a Legacy Pokey Husky for well over a year now, nearing to two years. Suddenly, I came across a thread that a member posted stating that they were talking offers on a Female Legacy Pokey Husky. With hopes high, I gave it everything I got and offered 3.4k. At first other offers were swarming in. After a while, she said she would accept my offer. I couldn’t believe it. Demetra was finally coming home. I had to complete the trade at around 12:00am due to my computer breaking down. At 12:00am on the dot, I adopted Demetra and welcomed her into my home.
Meeting and making new friends has always been a joy for me on FooPets. Though most of the time I met my friends through re-homings, I also met them through Chit – Chat and adopting pets from them. Over the years I’ve gained and lost many friends due to ClubFoo. I’m happy to say that my friends are outstanding and that I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They mean everything to me and I’m so glad that I had the honor of meeting them.
What Is Your Opinion on Harry Potter and our Little Neville’s Namesake ❄
❝I'm quite proud to be their son.❞
When I was younger and in the fifth grade, my sisters used to take ballet lessons. While my Father would drag me away in order to watch their practice, the class took place with multiple shops located inside the building. There was an art gallery, which I would wonder around admissibly, admiring the paintings. Next to the ballet dance room was a Subway from which I’d order a sandwich. Above all, there was a little library shop which I would read in. When I first entered the library, I remember sitting down in the fantasy section and looking at the books there. As I remember, they had Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. My Father had told me not to read the books, due to him having thought they inflicted the idea of Satan. Oddly enough, my Father was more the worry wart more than my Mother ever was.
In my fifth grade classroom, we had the set of Harry Potter books. Back then we still had book reports due. For one of the reports, I was set on doing it upon Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I picked up the book and began reading, but found myself confused about the men in green robes, owls during the day and talking cats. My book report was not on Harry Potter, because I never did finish it. Accidentally, I had brought it home with me. Guilt ridded me. I had always meant to return it, but never got around to doing so. If I had the book, why not give it another shot? This summer I found it and began to read it. I managed to polish it off within that day. Slowly, I acquired the rest of the series and finished them off, finding myself with a new favorite book series.
Reading has always been an enjoyment for me. It’s a portal into another world, filled with magical adventures you and the characters set off upon. Harry Potter was no exception. I began to wonder why I waited so long to start the series. When I started reading the book, I got lost in it. I felt like I had become a character within the book, never once being able to tear myself away.
Name Meaning ;; New Village
Name Origin ;; French
In the books, we have the original trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione. Of course there are the other characters such as Ginny, Draco, Luna, ect. Rowling mirrored Harry’s generation to fit his father’s generation, Marauders and the rest. Harry and James were both the Quidditch stars, a little over confident at times and an excellent leader. Ron is Sirius Black, both being extremely loyal, fun, snarky at times and doubtable of themselves. Hermione is Remus Lupin, both meticulous, book smart, level-headed and perceptive. Ginny is none other than Lily Evans, a firecracker at heart, clever, kind and not willing to put up with excuses. Draco is Severus Snape, an derail to Harry, the frailest of egos and good sense of right and wrong. Where does this leave Neville? Neville Longbottom is Peter Pettigrew.
Not very many people give Neville credit when clearly it’s deserved. We grew up knowing him as the noble, kind, brave yet outstanding friend and a loyal supporter. He understands that having a story to tell and being brash is not what it’s all about, but rather which battles we fight for and never losing sight of what is important. The prophecy could have easily been referring to Neville, if Voldemort had deemed him the threat. If you think about it, Peter and Neville are characters who are extremely close in similarity.
Peter was always the one to look up to the trio, the tag along friend and yet looked down upon by everyone else. Neville is trusted with Harry’s important secrets, upon his trustworthy loyalty. Neville was always aiming to achieve everyone’s standards, working himself to hard in doing so. Neville serves as Peter’s analog in the story.
It was almost a justification when Neville stood up to Harry, Ron and Hermione and defeated Nagini, Voldemort’s last remaining Horcrux. It represented the opposing side of Peter’s following side. Peter let his weaknesses hold him back in life. Always hero-worshiping James and Sirius and transferred that sensibility to Voldemort. He was a follower of whoever held the most power in that room. Aware of what he has done wrong, he relied on the excuse of power. Peter did betray Lily and James were as Neville would never do such a thing due to his fierce sense of loyalty.
Another sign of Neville’s loyalty and caring compassion is his parents. When his parents Frank and Alice Longbottom are tortured to insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange, Neville still stays by them and says he’s proud to be their son. When his mother handed him that empty wrapper and Neville smiled, it really touched me. While there is so much more to Neville, people don’t give him the credit he deserves.
Tell Me Something Random ❄
❝It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.❞
While on the topic of Harry Potter, I though it might be interesting to know that I’d be sorted into the house of Ravenclaw, due to my intelligence. Also, I would be claimed by Athena, due to my intelligence. A side note of that, children of Athena are deathly afraid of spiders, as am I.
❝We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already.❞
I want to thank you Ice and Rory for holding this outstanding magnificent re-homing and for giving us the opportunity to take Neville home. I understand that you could have kept him or than you could have saved up your hard earned FooDollars for something else, but I’m extremely thankful for your gravitate. Once again, thank you.
