AK -1 is a male Yellow Lab Mix born May 18, 2012
and last adopted July 28, 2013.
He is 8 years and 1 month old.
AK is a fun-loving little guy who loves to chase after frisbees and tennis balls alike. He may act a little shy at first, but deep down he loves attention and will make any stranger feel like part of the family. He’ll give you slobbery kisses and cuddle with you whenever possible. AK is loyal, playful, and absolutely incredible to be around. He’s always ready to play but always ready to calm down and watch a movie with you. AK does the most adorable thing where he’ll bring you back his disc, without you even asking for it. He is just amazingly kind :)
I only know of AK’s previous home, but from what I know, he has always been treated with tender love and care :) AK was given to i-Likepie as a gift—for only AC price—the very same day she received her ultimate dream pet. To Pie, AK represented all of the kindness on Foo that still exists to this day, and to me, he represents the same. AK’s history contains amazing members and absolute love. His future will contain the same ♥ When Pie allowed me to bring AK home, she let this on his profile: “Goodbye, Kindness <3 I know Kelly will cherish you c:” And cherish him I will indeed do.
AK is short for Amazing’Kindess, which was his name while he lived in Pie’s home. So, technically it is the same name, just shortened :3 And I think AK is quite catchy too!
This amazing Lab joined my home solely due to me applying for a rehoming held by i-Likepie on July 25th, 2013. Task after task, my bond grew stronger for him. Tasks ranged from writing poems to creating graphics to answering harder questions. And every time a task rolled around, I completed them happily. They weren’t a drag, and it didn’t bother me one bit to put in the time to do them the best I could because I was dying to bring AK home with me. When I got selected to be in the Top 10, I was overjoyed. Though I had applied late, Pie allowed me to join the other tops, and I just couldn’t help but be insanely grateful for that. When the Top 7 rolled around, my heart was pounding. I’m not much of a poet, but I tried my best to write something for AK. And I’m happy to say I’m proud of that little poem. Once the Top 4 list was announced, I couldn’t wipe a ridiculous smile off my face. I couldn’t believe it. I was once again so grateful to be in the rehoming for a pet I actually felt an incredibly strong bond towards. When I saw my name listed under the Top 2, alongside an amazing member by the username of ZoeBug-, I was absolutely speechless.
I can’t thank Pie enough for this. I really can’t. AK is just perfect. I got AK through hard work, love, and being myself. I was me and totally me when I completed all my tasks and talked to people, and I’m so happy that someone out there got to meet the real me and allow me to bring home AK. Just… thank you, Pie, for everything. Thank you for the opportunity to be in this rehoming, and thank you for accepting my somewhat late application for him. It means the world to me. I am eternally grateful for this whole, incredibly amazing experience ♥
AK will have one GodParent and that is all he needs. If something ever happens to my account—which is doubtful, but of course possible—he would be put into the hands of ZoeBug-, without a doubt. She accompanied me throughout this entire journey of bringing home AK, and we have since grown to become best friends. If anything ever happens to this account, such as it needing to be frozen, AK will visit Zoe until he ready to come back home to me, where he will be welcomed with open arms again. I love AK, and therefore wouldn’t want him to be starving and lonely while I was gone! Zoe would take great care of him for that time being and there is no one I could trust more to keep him safe :)
