US Norm White 680
US Norm White 680 is a male Pit Bull born March 19, 2012
and last adopted September 24, 2016.
He is 8 years and 2 months old.
Welcoming back the one, the only, my very best soldier, Norm White. Norm’s story is a long one and began February 21st, 2013. Norm is the original 680 ever born on FooPets. He was born in Ronnie’s 7th litter, and thus he was the second 670+ ever born on Foo, right behind Ron himself. And he remained a top-guy of mine for three years, until the birth of the first 640+ male Rottweiler ever born on Foo. It was at that moment in time that I was faced with a serious dilemma: what was I willing to part with in order to acquire a Rottweiler that I had previously believed impossible to breed? In truth, I had nothing to offer. 19,000 FDs and 10,000 FD from a friend and the only other currency we could agree on was an uber Pit-bull, who just had to be Norm of the three I had at the time (Crios, an amazing 690, Ronnie, the first ever 680+, or Norm, the guy in-between?). I knew that nothing short of an uber Pit would suffice; a FLPH had already been offered for Caerus. Even so, I still thought it a slim chance that my offer would be accepted… but it was. It was with extreme hesitancy and trepidation that I followed-through with the trade when Norm weaned his last litter that February. Oddly enough, that was also his third anniversary living with me (his actual third birthday, had he not been aged). And goodbye Norm went.
But I didn’t let go. I kept in contact with his home and made known my desire to buy him back in the future and that, should he ever be for sale, I would love to know. And in fact, he did go up for sale a few months later—and I received a message that he had been sold. And then again, another home sold him, and another. Then I checked on his page again and he had been reserved to Tae. So I waited patiently to see what would happen to him next. And then Tae began taking offers on him, and I messaged them in private to make a trade offer. The offer was fairly large: a 670, 669, several 651s, a 655, and a 659. However, the only pup that Tae liked was my Achilles, a 670 male Pit-bull. Discouraged but still willing to try, I messaged a Pit breeder I had known for many years. Unfortunately, she had already sold her 670s and was fresh out. Now more discouraged, I sent Gina a message. She was my last hope for a kennel big enough that would have a spare 670 around. And sure enough, a few days later, she wrote back telling me she’d get me a Pittie in five days, when her litters were born. Five days later, she had a Pit-bull to sell. I checked with Tae and he was plenty compatible.
So thus, the accumulated worth of this 680 Pit-bull? Immense. He was sold once from me, once to me, and three other times apart from that for huge amounts. I must thank Gina for agreeing to sell me a 670, and seeing that I was completely desperate for one. Thanks to Tae, for having patience and waiting with me to see what would happen. And to Wolf, who read Norm’s story months ago and promised to help me get him back. Even if she never got the chance to, it really is the thought that counts.
And lastly, after seven months apart, Norm is back home to stay. This has always been his home and though he went through several names while he was gone, he will always be US Norm White.
Pups That Were Traded for Norm:
Several trades had to happen for Norm to come back home and, in all, it involved three separate Pit-bulls. Achilles was traded directly (he had been kept only for one month, and because I had failed to sell him as a pup). This 669 puppy was traded for this 670 and both 670s will wind up in Tae’s possession upon weaning. :)
As follows is the note I left on Norm’s profile when he was traded. His homes were very kind and kept it here:
This is my last dedication to one of my best soldiers, Norm White. Norm White was named after two men who died around the time that Norm was born. He was owned and kept by me for exactly three years, from February 21st 2013 until February 21st 2016. I will miss him very much; I’m finding it very difficult to send his link to his new home. Love always to the amazing Norm White.
Norm’s Original Profile Text/Name Origin:
Norm White, 5/5 680 91% 7th/3rd Generation Purebred Male Pit-bull.
Wow. This boy is a 680/745 91.27% Uber/Max stat purebred American Pit-bull Terrier. Wow. I hadn’t expected much from this litter but seeing him and his brother, 657, came as a pleasant surprise. Thank you to everyone for reading my rules and not asking for him. ;0)
Again, another odd name for me. This boy is named after two men.
Norm’s “Memorial” Profile:
Where’d Norm Go?:
Norm was used in a pet trade to E4Envy when he was 3 years and 11 months old. I had kept him since he was born to my Ronnie J and Karen’s Precocious on February 21st, 2013. I never had any intention of selling him or trading him. In fact, I refused every offer I had ever received.
However, Caerus was unlike any other pet on Foo and I knew that I could never buy another 640 Rottweiler. One day, I hope to purchase Norm back.
