Work in progress. Check back later. xD
Will have a new home on the 4th.
Just adopted from the Play Page
Here is a copy of my application for Mouse. I put a real lot into bringing home mouse, and I still smile every time I think of how blessed I am that he came right to me. =)
Hello, and thank you for this wonderful opportunity. My name’s Riptide, but you can call me whatever you want. Er, I’m really not very good at rehoming applications, but I put a lot of time and effort in this one and I believe that it should turn out…good enough. That is, of course, if you follow the instructions. //wink wink// For this to work out the way I intend it to, you have to click on every link you come across as soon as you read them. If you click them too late or too early then nothing will match up right. So please, please, please try and click on them as you read over them. The second rule is both easy and optional! Don’t you just love optional rules? Okay, well the second rule is that its highly recommended you read this entire application with a British accent, and imagine it being narrated by some sweet, hundred year old, white-haired grandma. (no, that would not be myself lol. Don’t worry!) I would even read this little opening over in the accent. I just think it makes the experience much more enjoyably, and personally I crack myself up every time I read it that way. Yes, you’ve guessed it. I’m pathetic. I laugh over things I’ve said three week ago that probably weren’t even funny when I said them. But, that just makes me who I am. xD
About Your Home::
I see you have followed my dog Alastair to my house! I moved into Foo-town on December 28, 2009. Welcome to my [HOME!] I’m not used to having guests so please ignore the mess! Come in; have a seat in the den! [PET NAME] here can show you the way. May I tempt you with a cold glass of lemonade? Yes? Follow me then! If you go through the archway to the left of the den you’ll enter the kitchen. Oh look! There’s [PET NAME] enjoying some…is that popcorn? Silly puppy, popcorns’ for kids! (said to the voice of the Trix cereal rabbit). In the kitchen we share most of our meals together. In our home, we eat two meals a day. One around 6:00am and the second around 4:00pm. Just don’t look at the ugly rug under the table; It came with the chairs. Now if you would just follow me out the door to the back right…yes, perfect! This is our garden. Thank God for my darling [PET NAME]; I don’t think I would be able to run the place without her! Our little garden is filled with medical herbs. Do you have a cold, allergies, broken bones? Come down to our place for some fresh herbs and you’ll be cured in no time! I take everyone of my pets out to the garden on the 1st of each month and give them all some herbs to heal their fleas because we don’t want any of them around our house, do we? Of course not. A good bath should keep those pesky little critters away. Speaking of which, hang a right from the garden and you will come across the bathroom, where [PET NAME] is waiting ever so patiently for a bath. I bathe every one of my pets once every other Friday because, and I’m not sure it this is true or not, but I have heard it helps prevent them from obtaining fleas. Besides, everyone can enjoy a nice, hot shower. Now let’s go back out the way we came and into this little room right here to the left…ah, yes. Welcome to our lounge. It seems [PET NAME] has some guests as well! In our home, we enjoy moments together, whether that be a T.V. dinner with the family, curled up on the sofa with a nice book (or, a bone, in this case), or having a sleep over! We adore inviting friends to hang out with, making small gifts such as pictures and cards for others, and helping out those who are close to us, and even those we’ve never met in any way we can. Well, let’s leave [REPEAT PET NAME] in peace now and finish up the tour. No, no! Not that way! Follow me, please! This here is one of my personal favorite rooms in the house, as well as gentle, old [PET NAME] here. Its taken me literally years to design, and still is not even approaching completion. I call this the Treasure Room. As you can see, it’s filled with an ornament to represent each and every one of my pets, and they are surrounded by precious gems. Because that’s what they are. They’re precious; priceless. Like gems. Now, It’s getting late. The sun is setting; its been a long day. Please allow [PET NAME] to escort you to the door. I do hope you enjoyed yourself today, and will await your next visit! Bye for now, my friend! Farewell!
Why Do You Want Him?::
Okay, if you’re still holding up with it, you can drop the English accent and the grandma narrator now. Sorry about that, I was bored and while I was reading it over in my head my mind slipped a bit off task. I would like to be the next and final owner of Firework to represent my cat Mouse. Mouse is a Bengal/Russian Blue mix, but because they don’t have grey Bengal cats on Foo, I chose to represent him by a Russian blue instead. You may be wondering something along the lines of “but Riptide, you own eight cats; nine including the feral you feed. What makes you want a Foopet for this Mouse of yours and not all the others?” Well you see, Mouse and his sister Twitter, (they’re not really related by blood. I just got them at the same time so I consider them to be siblings) were a gift to me for my 16th birthday from my boyfriend Matt. He found them on the LIE (Long Island Expressway) while riving home one night and kept then a secret for two whole weeks before he gave them to me, wrapped up in towels in a laundry basket. They mean the world to me those two. You can see them here (link to pictures) if you like. Don’t mind the French; it’s from a project I had to do for school a few years ago. Anyway, after Matt gave me the kitties and went home that night, he was involved and a very serious car accident that cost him six months in the hospital with severe seizures, many broken bones, frequent strokes, and his entire memory wiped. He forgot who I was for a period of time. At one point, he even died, and they had to shock his heart to bring him back. So in some of my darkest of times, when everything else seemed lost, Turtle and Mouse were there to keep me going, comfort me, keep my mind sharp when my heart was a puddle. They reminded me that even though Matt couldn’t remember who I was, he did love me, and they gave me hope. (After many long and stressful months, Matt was able to make a full recovery. He continues life as normal, and with the help of therapy and children flash cards, he has regained most of his memories. He even stops by and says hello to everyone on foo every once in a while!) So to wrap this up, I would like Firework to represent my Mousey, and maybe you’ve seen my “Balloon’s Search For A Lost White Cat” threads around the forums? Well, there’s my future Foo-Turtle.
What Will You Name Him::
If you haven’t guessed yet, I would rename Firework to Mouse, after my cat. The real Mouse was named ‘Mouse’ because of his grey spotted fur that looked oddly similar to the patterns printed on a stuffed mouse toy my cats play with. It’s a ratty little scrap of fuzz kind of toy that I bought at the dollar store like two years ago, but it’s another of my cats’ favorite toy so I haven’t thrown it out yet., Expo to be exact, who can be seen at the bottom of (link to picture)’s profile. Anyway, it’s shaped like a mouse, so I named my new cat Mouse.
Will he Have A Scene and Profile?::
All of the pets that I have promised forever homes get a scene that I actually put effort into. The others, well I put them in a background and take a picture, but I don’t spend too much money one them. I haven’t figured out exactly what the scene for Firework would look like, but I have been stocking up on items I would like for it to include for months, including but not limited to the items listed below: (List removed because his scene was changed).
