Apollo is a male Pit Bull born April 13, 2015
and last adopted July 5, 2017.
He is 5 years and 3 months old.
When I got this Apollo, the Foo version, he initially stood for the representation of my future dog. Ever since I was a child, I’ve wanted nothing but a dog. Every birthday and Christmas I’d ask my parents for one. I was unrelenting on this, lol. And over time it became one of my biggest life dreams. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized I wanted to rescue a pittie. I hate that there are so many stereotypes surrounding this “breed” and it makes me sick to see the injustices they serve. I want to be a part of changing peoples’ minds about them. Soon enough, I will be able to do that. I can’t wait ♥
However, this Apollo now also represents this adorable pup that found his way to the dog shelter that May volunteers at. She asked me for help naming some of the dogs that had arrived that week and I suggested “Apollo” for the cute grey pittie that immediately stood out to me. I absolutely fell in love with his big smile, sweet personality, and loving attitude. He had scars all over his body, but he still had the best disposition. He loved attention, loved other dogs, and loved everyone. If my life were different, I would have gotten on a plane to bring him home. He deserves the best home a person can offer, and I really do hope he finds that ♥
This Apollo is a bit rambunctious, to say the least! He loves playing, especially a game that involves grabbing your shoes and running off with them, lol. When he can’t do that, his favorite toy by far is the tennis ball. He’s gone through a few because he likes to rip them apart, but he can’t help himself. (Good thing they’re cheap!)
When he finally tires out, Apollo loves nothing more than a warm snuggle beside his loved ones. He adores just snoozing in the sunlight or under some blankets while watching a movie. Those soft, mindless pets while he dozes off make his heart flutter. Apollo loves affection and will do anything to be close you, absolutely invading your personal space. But we love it ♥
Also, thank you to Cat for making me this awesome banner.
