Ronin is a male Russian Blue born August 5, 2014
and last adopted August 10, 2017.
He is 3 years and 6 months old.
8/17/2017 I’ve decided to keep a diary for Ronin; just the occasional blurb about the life of a pet. So far he is settling in well and enjoying the old TV room. He is leaving the plants alone.
8/20/17 He met Koko who opened the door and let himself in. I let them play and watch TV, then sent Koko on his way. Today he can meet Yum Yum.
8/21/17 Ronin and Yum Yum had a fine time playing. Ronin is reacting will to the closed door policy. I had to fix the door so Koko can’t open it. I will let him in during chores.
9/12/17 Well between the two of them Koko or Ronin changed the channel on the TV. Ronin didn’t care for the movie “Ronin” and had a nap on top of the TV. I fell asleep watching it.
9/29/17 Found a mate for him. Time to travel.
10/1/17 Stopped at a castle on the way from the airport. Ronin stretched his legs and came when called. He really likes those tiny dried fish from the chinese market. I’ll have to see what cat treats they have in Britain.
10/8/17 Another castle in another town. Found a quaint B&B to stay at. Ronin likes the goody bag I got him; I like the haggis potato chips I got.
10/19/17 The kittens were born. We admired them for awhile but now we’re off to the highlands.
10/26/17 I hiked all over the Highlands. Ronin was happy to ride in my backpack. We found a stream and had a nice picnic lunch. He turned up his nose at the elder-flower jelly but licked the rhubarb yogurt container clean.
10/27/17 Another day another castle. Ronin enjoyed running up and down the tower stairs.
10/28/17 Rats lost all of yesterdays and todays photos! We had a grand time at Warwick Castle. The trebuchet was working and we walked the ramparts. Ronin liked the dungeon, me… not so much. I shared my lunch with Ronin and the peafowl that roams the grounds. We minded the gap, rode round and round on the double decker busses and ate interesting things. Ronin was a bit miffed when I gave a flapjack to a homeless lady and her dog. I still haven’t worked up the courage to try steak and kidney pie.
10/29/17 Left Ronin at my friends’ cat cafe while I went to Buckingham Palace. I liked the stables; they were so fancy I would be happy to live in a stall. There was a room full of harnesses and all the carriages were spiffy and well preserved. The Gold State coach was awesome. There were some interesting clocks in the palace and many fancy rooms (after the castles, fancy rooms are starting to blur together). My friend met me afterward and brought Ronin for the picnic out front. A pleasant end to a sunny trip in the UK.
11/2/17 The kittens are weaned and ready to travel. Time to head home.More later.
