This sweet girl here is Midnight, my lost Female Black Mix! She came to me in Sandy and Western’s Halloween Rehoming. I remember I always stalked the account Midnight was on because that was Sandy’s rehoming account. Whenever I saw her, I remember I got super excited to be able to have a chance to bring her into me home. I had just “accidentally” sold my other lost female black mix. A dream pet of mine was for offer, and my old girl was one of the few pets I had purchased. I put her on Public sale, and right when I decided to take her down, someone had bought her. Like I got the “error” whenever I was deleting the sales link. So I was devastated that I had lost my girl, but it was my fault for putting her up if I wasn’t really ready to sale her. So whenever Sandy had Midnight, her last name being Raven, on her account I jumped to making my banner for the rehoming. Like a month in advance XD I was that excited. I remember Western messaged me the moment that Sandy posted the rehoming on the forums, and I was the first person to submit my application. Yeah… I was that extra XD
The rehoming was super cute, being themed around you “rescuing” the pets from an evil witch who stole them away from their previous owners. I didn’t see it as fitting given Sandy was now her previous owner, and all she has done is good by giving these pets away, but I am just looking into the details too much. Going through the rehoming, I was so nervous. In the beginning, I wasn’t very active because I had so many tests and quizzes due the week the rehoming was posted. A lot of great members were applying for Midnight, and I was getting anxious for the first rounds But I know that I need to not let that get to me, and I continued forward. I started to do the games in the rehoming because they were always super fun (Shout out to Western c;) I remember one of the first games was to make a scary photo of Raven, and so I was like “but she is so sweet… what could make her scary?!” I thought a mask with human eyes would just be enough to make her creepy looking XD I was pretty proud of the edit I was able to do because I normally don’t do those types of edits. I am a graphics maker, not an editor!! I was happy to find that Western really liked my submission! The next round of games also had Raven in them! I was so excited to continue to make cute banners for this sweet girl I wanted to bring home. I was the first person to get put in Raven’s group, and I jumped the gun and already made a banner for Raven (You can see it down below, it is the one that just says “raven” and has the three kitties) This is actually when I started to make her profile because… I was itching to get it done because I was way too excited for this rehoming tbh XD Next came the first round of tops! I was so freaking nervous, and right before they posted it Western sent me a discord message telling me to get online! I rushed to get online, and it was right before Sandy posted the first set of tops! I kept refreshing until she had posted, and I looked for my name… and it was the first one! I was so happy to be in Raven’s tops, I remember I texted Michael very very excited. Her task had to do with spooky irl things, and I didn’t really have too big of stories compared to some other people. There were a few people that had some really really crazy experiences tbh. Soon the top 5 closed, and we all waited for Top 3. It took Sandy and Western a really long time, but I myself couldn’t really make a decision whenever I went through my theoretical “what if I was a judge in this rehoming?” Then the tops were posted… and… I made it to the next round! I was so freaking excited, especially whenever I saw it was a profile/scene making task XD I had had this profile done for a bit now because of how excited I get in a rehoming I am in. So thus… I added the last few lines to her profile lol. Finally it came time for the homes to be announced. I was so nervous that I couldn’t stop shaking. Western was messaging me to make sure I checked out the thread, and I was like “GIRL I AM PANICKING!” Then i saw my name! For Midnight! I felt so blessed to be able to bring this beautiful girl into my home. Thank you Sandy and Western for this baby.
Midnight here represents my old kitten. Whenever I was 12, my best friends were over at my house playing in the backyard whenever we heard something meowing. We followed the sound and looked through the fence to see a small black kitten pawing at us! We went crazy, because… what kids don’t like kittens XD I was obsessed with Warrior Cats, so I was like “CAT!”. We ended up playing with the kitten for a bit before we had to go back inside. Later that night another one of my best friends came over to spend the night, and I told her about the kitten, and she was sad that she wasn’t able to see it. The next morning we were walking past the garage whenever I swore I heard meowing. I told her that I think i heard a cat, and she listened and sure enough, it meowed again! We ran into the garage and look everywhere until we found the small kitten on top of the tires of my parent’s car. She was so small and cute, and I immediately brought her back into the house and showed my parents! I asked if we could keep her, and they were a bit iffy at first. Both of them were allergic, and we had my dog Mollie inside with us. They came up with the idea to keep her in the backyard since she originally lived outside (which being an adult now makes me angry that we put a small kitten outside alone) We decided to name her Midnightholly or Midnight for short. I remember waking up every morning and going outside to say hello to Midnight and how excited she was to always see me come out that door. We had her for about a month before my parents told me the news that we were giving her away to a family who owned a farm and wanted some barn cats. I was so sad that we were giving her away, but I understood that her living in the backyard her entire life with a dog who was constantly trying to get to her was a terrible life. I was sad to see her go, but I knew that she was going to have a great life with the family she was going to live with.
