Taylor is named after my best friend. We met through a mutual friend when we were in middle school and became close during my soph.omore year. Both of us loved partying and often bonded in group settings. I eventually asked her if she wanted to hang out one-on-one, which gave us a chance to get to know each other better. Summer of 2018, we had a two day sleepover (we took too many shots so she stayed a second night) and it fueled the friendship we have today. It was the beginning of constant hanging out and listening to each other rant about whatever was on our minds. That night, we started our tradition of sneaking out super late to go to denny’s. We even walked to the only grocery store open for the hell of it so we could get snacks.
Taylor became my favorite person that summer and my number one person to go to. She knows me inside out and can even handle my weird mood swings. When nobody can put up with me, she still manages lol. We’ve been there for each other through basically everything and I doubt I’d still be alive without her. She sat in a dark bathroom with me after I fought with my mom and aunt because I was panicking. She was there through my entire mental breakdown when I dropped out of public school. She helped me when I hit rock bottom and gave me a reason to keep going. To say I’m thankful for her is an understatement. She’s my ride or die, other half, sister, and platonic soulmate. Without her, I’m not myself.
