Willy is a neutered male Chocolate Lab Mix born December 28, 2007
and last adopted May 26, 2016.
He is 12 years and 5 months old.
Willy is a lovable goofball. His favorite thing to do is play ball all day. He almost never seems to get tired. He absolutely adores children, often seen walking them home from the bus every evening. He loves his little pal, Trooper(a mini dachshund). The two are often seen playing together in the yard of various neighbors in the community. Willy loves to wander around, meeting new people where ever he goes. He spends most of his time taking handouts from anyone who cares to feed him.
Willy in Real Life(Willy’s Story)
Willy was a large male Chocolate lab that roamed the neighborhood in which a friend of mine lived. Abandoned by his previous owner, he wandered the neighborhood and everyone loved and watched out for him. He would love to bring his ball for us to throw and he would spend hours playing with us. My husband and I grew very close to him over the years and he faithfully greeted us every time we visited our friend(He hung around my friend’s house a lot because his grandmother fed him). However, no one was around when Willy really needed help. Though not a puppy, Willy was prone to chewing anything that would fit into his mouth. One day he found a stray golf ball and ate it. However, the ball became lodged in his digestional tract. I wasn’t notified at the time. Apparently, he had been left a WEEK before my friend FINALLY decided it would be a good idea to take him to the vet as he couldn’t eat or drink. Willy died on the operating table at the local veterinary hospital. The vet tried everything in his power to bring our furry friend back, but to no avail. By the time anyone bothered to take notice of his plight, our friend was gone…
My husband and I spent the night in fits of tears and rage. Tears for our lost friend whose life could have been saved. Anger at our friend for not notifying us earlier so that we could take him to the vet(We found out later that he had been watching him the whole week suffering and did nothing). To this day, we catch ourselves still watching for him to come greet us whenever we drive by. The neighborhood suffered a great loss that day as Willy always walked the children of the neighborhood home from the bus every day and played with them and guarded them from strangers. We will NEVER forget him.
I created my Dream Thread on May 24, 2016. After only about a day and a half of searching, I found my baby. However, I didn’t have enough FD to bring him home. I struggled for two more days trying to raise money. I was about at the end of my rope when a kind member by the name of Lainee approached me when I posted seeking advice as there was another puppy off from my dream by a 1% but was in my price range, unlike the other. They asked me if I had ever considered a 6 Digit Legacy Foo(Which I hadn’t). I only knew that my baby had to be special. They sent me his link, and I instantly knew he was the one! This kind person gifted this wonderful baby to me for 45FD.
Will My Baby Ever Be For Sale?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! My baby will never be for sale, so don’t even ask.
