This baby girl is exceptionally rare because, unlike most of the Pokeys, she has never been bred. Back in the days when Legacy Pokeys were considered rare, I received SkyeDream from a very kind and generous friend named Crashy (she had originally asked to remain anonymous but since she has left Foo I don’t think it matters anymore). She had known it was a dream of mine to have an LP, not because of the over-inflated worth the greedy, money hungry Pokey hoarders placed (and continue to place) on their heads, but because of the fact that they’re a part of the history of the original Go Pokey site. Skyes’ owner at the time had decided to find a new home for her and Crashy entered the competition specifically to gift her to me if and when she won. Of course, I had no idea and was totally shocked, not to mention thrilled beyond belief, when she filled me in on the delightful little secret. Thank you soooooo VERY much my dear friend. I will be forever grateful for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Skye is definitely in her furever home and will NEVER be for sale ♥
The picture to the left was actually made for me by Crashy before her departure. I love her and miss her more than she knows and I continue to pray that one day soon she will return to Foo.
Another dear friend, Evers was also pivotal in the adoption as she was the financier so to speak, and, if not for her, Skye would not be with me today.Thank you evers so much Evers, LOL, you are a sweetie and definitely one in a million! It wasn’t until I acquired Skye that I found out my dear friend Kayla had also entered the competition. Not only had she entered but she was in the top 10 as well. Which is why when it became necessary for me to leave Foo and she offered to take in Skye along with a couple others, I was ecstatic. She said she always had a sneaking suspicion that she would somehow, someway be given the opportunity to own the beautiful girl she was once so close to having. So she adopted Skye along with my original Foo companion Spunker. I’m glad she did too since it was so nice and comforting to have a few of my babies here when I returned. I hope I shall never have to leave again as my friends and my babies mean a great deal to me but if circumstances once again dictate that I must do so, I take comfort in the fact that I can trust my dear friend implicitly. I will be forever grateful to Kayla for her kindness and generosity and I thank her from the bottom of my heart
