I was shoved into the back of my cage after a hard day of work with no food or water I was like a walking skeleton. I hadn’t eaten for days I was so tiered I fell to the floor but I couldn’t fall asleep all I heard was the barking of other dogs crying for freedom out of their cages and for their pups back that had been sold before they were even able to leave their mothers side. At that moment I thought of my pups that had been sold awhile ago. They had gone to good homes because I had a little time to meet the people that took them but I still missed them. As I let my head drop I heard the door to the back of the room open up it was the “manager” of the Puppy Mills.I got up and backed up into the back corner of the cage just like the rest of the dogs in the room. When he walked up to my cage I felt a wave of grieve sweep over myself this guy had no heart at all . He over bred dogs and treated them like trash and then after the pups were born he’d sell them and then they’d have no time to adjust to their mother. As he passed my cage I let out a slit whimper of dispare when he heard the noise he spun around and looked at me and said to himself mutt then he said to his assistance where did we get that piece of junk she looks like a mole rat.it’s time we give her up.I knew what that meant they were going to put me down. I burst into panic now he didn’t even have a peanut for a heart on top of every thing else he put dogs down that looked different then other dogs.as he opened the cage I burst through the bars of my cage and ran out of the back door that was opened a crack. I headed out of the main doors and left my old life behind me. Now I ad to stand up for myselfI ran out of site of the Puppy Mills and stopped to catch my breath on the side of a busy road I just was about to stand up when I felt a rope around my sore neck and I herd Gentle words being spoken to me like Ahhhhh you poor thing we’ll get you cleaned up And we’ll get you a new home to.
It was a beautiful day at Foopets Sanctuary and it being Friday (Animal Adoption Day) I was looking for a dog with a story and an abused life as we look for when adopting a dog or cat. As I made my way to the Adoption Center I felt like there was something in need like there always is as I stepped into the A.C I asked the Lady at the front desk if there were any abused dogs or cats for sale. she said for a mater of fact there is and brought me to her cage when I looked at her I knew she had a story and a abused life. She was just the dog I was looking for when I looked into her eyes I saw pain when I looked at her tail it wasn’t waging and when I looked at her I fell in love with her.I asked the lady how much she costed she said 80 fds so i handed her the cash and walked off with my new best friend. I saw a new companionship ahead off us.
